Tech-analyse:– Almost every cutscene is a pre-rendered video
– Very few cinematic moments are in-engine
– Most cutscenes show visible compression and run at 30 FPS, plus other downsides like uneven frame pacing and banding/blocking artifacts
– Dynamic resolution scaling used for gameplay
– Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment docked resolution is between 720p and 900p, depending on GPU demands
– Portable resolution range is between 468p and 648p
– Visuals are the same docked/portable
– Lacks anti-aliasing
– Terrain quality, instances of low texture resolution, and geometry pop in can be noticed if you stop and look around
– No screen space reflections for water
– Still a technical leap over the previous entries in the series
– Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment frame rate target is 60 FPS
– There are some drops below that number, typically around 50s
– Multiplayer splitscreen drops the 60 FPS cap to 30, and has uneven frame pacing
– GameShare retains the original FPS target
