#1 Personen må have vidst noget i hvert fald.

Spekulerer lidt over, hvad tredje entry skulle hedde.

  • Reason 1: In Pokemon X and Y, there was a Great War. Supposedly it was between the Pokemon of Kalos and another Land. Galar is based on the UK and Kalos is based on France. France and UK had their fair share of wars in the past so its possible that Galar was involved in the Great War. More details: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/AZ

  • Reason 2: As you can see in the map of Galar, there is a railroad system. I think this train goes to Kalos. As you can see in the map of Kalos there is a railroad going in to the mountain in the blue circle. We were never able to see what was the use of that railroad in X and Y. It could lead back to Galar. Also the English Channel runs from UK to France in real life. This train is under water. Kalos and Galar could easily be connected. More details: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Couriway_Town

  • Reason 3: Pokemon X and Y was slightly unfinished. They are the only main games in the series to never get a remake/sequel. There are few areas in the game that are inaccessible and there are some items that haven't seen any use. Pokemon Sword and Shield can be the opportunity for Gamefreak to bring back a fully fledged Kalos.

  • Reason 4: Melmetal. According to his Pokedex entry, he was seen 3000 years ago. Coincidently the Pokemon war in Kalos happened 3000 years ago. And the entry mentions that Melmetal is back for "some reason". He will probably be re-involved with the conflict between Galar and Kalos in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

  • Reason 5: The cave in the Pokemon Sword and Shield trailer looks very similar to the glittering cave in X and Y. Same wall color? Same lighting? Gems on the walls? A rail track? These two caves may very well be connected. (credits to u/Jaysheth1080p)

  • Reason 6: There is a port town visible on the east side of Galar, while there is also a port on the west of Kalos. If they are connected, could this be another way to do so? (credits to u/

The next few reasons are weaker, but still valid imo.

  • Reason 7: The reason they added Kanto in generation 2 was so nintendo can show the capabilities of the gameboy color. So it makes sense to put 2 regions in pokemon sword and shield to show the power of the nintendo switch.

  • Reason 8: Pokemon X and Y is special for being the first 3d modeled main game. Pokemon Lets Go is special for the being the first HD 3D modeled main game. Pokemon Sword and Shield can shine harder with the 2 regions.

  • Reason 9: The map of Galar is long like a sword and the map of Kalos is circular like a shield. So there could be some kind of connection between them. Kind of a stretch, but it could mean something.

  • Reason 10: Remaking Kalos isnt as huge an undertaking as it seems. It's still big no doubt, but when you look at it, Kanto in HeartGold/SoulSilver has a total of 55 explorable areas (which unlike the original Gold/Silver had to be made from scratch). Kalos in XY only has 60. So it's as far out there as what's already been done before. (credits to u/Jaysheth1080p)

So those are my reasons for Kalos being in Sword and Shield. Change my mind.

Sword and Shield’s enemy team will be called Team Yell.

There will be an “evil” legendary Pokemon named Eternatus.

In addition to Dynamaxing, there will also be the similar Gigantimaxing, which changes a Pokemon’s appearance in addition to growing its size. Three examples given are Meowth looking like “long cat,” Lapras getting “layers like musical bars to its shell and musical notes,” and Pikachu looking like “retro fat Pikachu.”

“Regional evolutions” will be a thing, with Farfetch’d turning into Sirfetch’d, and Meowth looking like “a ball of spiky grey fur.” It’s unclear if this literally means evolutions or if it actually refers to regional variants like Alola.
Chipmunk Pokemon potentially named “Skwovet and Greedunt” will hide in berry trees, attacking players if they shake them too many times, which will cause you to lose half the berries that fell.

To challenge a gym leader, you need to get an endorsement (not explained), which will then let you take on a gym challenge that needs to be completed before fighting them.

Three gym challenges are described, including one where you have to herd Wooloo while avoiding a new Electric corgi Pokemon called Pamper, one where you navigate a maze with water blocking your path, and one where you have to catch Pokemon and “get 5 points” while in a team battle with another trainer who is also trying to catch them at the same time.

While in the Wild Area, you will “randomly see nearby players and interact with them to get their league cards and items.”

Camping will be a mechanic, and is where you will play with Pokemon. It will also let you make curry to raise stats and use toys to raise friendship.

Grookey’s final evolution is a giant gorilla that uses a wood drum to attack.

Sobble’s evolutions are called Sizzile and then Intelleon, and will have a spy-theme to them.

“Scorbunny will have fighting moves, but is pure fighter.” (There could be a typo in here, it reads as if it meant to say “but is pure fire” or “but isn’t pure fighter.”) Its second evolution is called Raboot, and its final evolution looks like a humanoid fighter.

A blue seagull Pokemon was described that will get either a “barracuda or a Pikachu” in its mouth when it dives, which it then throws at the enemy.

"There are a couple of different parts to the thinking behind it, but really the biggest reason for it is just the sheer number of Pokemon. We already have well over 800 Pokemon species, and there's going to be more added in these games. And now that they're on the Nintendo Switch, we're creating it with much higher fidelity with higher quality animations. But even more than that, it's coming down to the battle system. We're making sure we can keep everything balanced and give all the Pokemon that appear in the games a chance to shine."

"We knew at some point we weren't going to be able to indefinitely keep supporting all of the Pokemon, and we just found that Sword and Shield would probably be a good point to go back and reevaluate what would be the best selection of Pokemon that appeal to the widest audience while keeping into consideration the balance of the battle system. It isn't just going to be all-new Pokemon in the Galar region Pokedex; there's still going to be a lot of favorites that fans will be able to bring over that they've adventured with previously. But yeah, it was pretty much just balancing and getting this optimal selection of Pokemon for the adventure we wanted to provide."
