Citizens of Earth annonceret til 3DS og Wii U

Tilbage i september sidste år forsøgte et canadisk Indie-studie, Eden Industries, sig med finansiering af RPG-spillet, Citizens of Earth, via Kickstarter. De nåede ikke deres mål, men var stadig opsat på at færdiggøre spillet til udgivelse, og efter noget tid endte de med at få økonomisk støtte fra Atlus, der nu har annonceret at spillet udkommer digitalt til bl.a. Wii U og 3DS allerede til september.
Om spillet skrev udviklerne oprindeligt på Kickstarter:
It’s an RPG that places you in the shoes of the Vice President of the World! Citizens of Earth combines the modern setting and humorous tone of Earthbound with the recruitment mechanics of games like Pokémon and Suikoden. Rather than recruiting fantasy heroes to your cause, however, Citizens of Earth is all about bringing regular characters into the spotlight as heroes. Instead of warriors and mages and other such fantasy tropes in your party, you’ll be fighting with a Baker, Used Car Salesman, School Teacher, Yoga Instructor, and so on. The characters that would normally be NPCs in other RPGs become the heroes in Citizens of Earth!
